Band Trip to Regina

Our band trips were a lot of fun and we can thank Mr. Gronfur and the band boosters for their support. It gave many of us travel experiences that we would never had on our own. It is sad that the small schools have closed and there are so few bands left in the community. For some reason I don't have many pictures of our trips. I'll have to dig a little deeper!

Thank you for posting these wonderful pictures, Gayle! It's interesting to look back in time, and it reminds us of who we are and where we came from. I'm sure, thousands of years from now, archaeologists searching through these records will marvel at our antique pictographs! But for us, its a bit like Charles Dickens opening line in 'A Tale of Two Cities': "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Hopefully for most of us there was more of the former than the latter!

I surely remember the trips but I did not have a camera growing up so therefore have no pictures. Sort of sad when that would have been a wonderful keepsake. Just imagine managing a busload of kids today...I think we pretty much did as told and went to sleep on those gym floors etc and did not cause too much trouble. At least I hope we didn't...somehow I cannot remember much but I do remember being in curlers and my nightie next to Clarice somewhere on the floor and someone screaming..."they have a peep hole" which meant the boys must have been peeking!!! But we girls were good and did not peek back...ha!
