Pictures from a 4-H meeting at Elmer and Melva Sogard's farm in summer 1958. The first picture includes Susan Sogard, Sorgard's farm dog, Jean Anderson and Gayle Hagen.
The second picture includes members Marilyn Lund, Peggy Lohse, Pearl Nygaard, Pam Nygaard, Marilyn Hagen? with head down, Unknown with head down, Susan Sogard, Orlyn Egge, Marilyn Monger, Diane Lohse, Cynthia Soiseth, Jean Anderson and Martha Millard.
The third picture include Bernice Hagen, Alma Monger, Donna VanBerkum and Thora Millard.
One of our many 4-H meetings where we were probably preparing our projects for the fair. I remember Marilyn and I would wait until the last minute to finish our entries. The one thing that has come in handy was learning how to iron a shirt! Someone had to demonstrate the correct technique and little did I know at the time that it would be useful!

The unknown person in picture two is likely Sharon Lohse.
Imagine they taught how to iron a shirt!!! I would say that would be useful! I learned my first year of college along with so much more! Ha! My roommate was from an all girl catholic school and she came with a dozen uniforms and the "correct" way of ironing so she taught me about the all important sleeve technique! Ha!
These 4-H pictures bring up some great memories. We pricked many a finger sewing our projects. I don't think the second picture of Susan and Gayle is Sharon Lohse...almost resembles Jean Anderson. To think this house is now renovated and standing proud today filled with another growing family. Marilyn Hagen Olsen
