So who out there has a picture of the AHS Safari Band that captured 3rd place in Cheyenne (if that was where it was)? Or how about Calgary? And didn't we play in Saskatoon? Someone out there must have pictures from these exotic events. And where else did the band go to represent the fine citizens of Divide and Williams Counties?

Alamo High School Band - 1967-68
So who out there has a picture of the AHS Safari Band that captured 3rd place in Cheyenne (if that was where it was)? Or how about Calgary? And didn't we play in Saskatoon? Someone out there must have pictures from these exotic events. And where else did the band go to represent the fine citizens of Divide and Williams Counties?

WOW! The year we left you guys got some pretty fancy hats! I do not remember them at all so they must have been new? Funny, once you graduate, if you do not live there anymore, you lose track of everything! Pretty sharp bunch!
Yes, we played at Cheyenne Days and went to Estes Park.We played at the Calgary Stampede...I sort of remember watching the rodeo from below the bleachers in the dirt and dust as we did not have the money for entry or something like that...sort of a hoof eye level so to speak! Ha!
